Erja releases her first live concert on dvd titled Songs From The Road

Erja Lyytinen releases her first live concert on dvd titled Songs From The Road. The dvd will be released in Finland on February 8th 2012. Release dates for other countries will be informed on this site later.

The concert was recorded in Savoy Theater Helsinki, Finland last November. It will be relesed on Ruf Records as a cd/dvd-version as a part of a serie with dvd concerts by Luther Allison and Jeff Healey as well.

Erja will also have a release tour in Finland. The release concert will be held in Ylläs, Lapland at Ylläs Jazz & Blues event on January 27, 2012. The tour ends in Savonlinna on February 25, 2012.

Erja says her fans have asked her for a dvd concert for a long time, which inspired her to make this release. "Me and my band have been asked for a live record for years. We are primarily entertainers and our gigs have always been really energetic. I always try to pay attention to the wishes of my audience, since they are the ones play for, after all. The recording night was special and unforgettable. Finally I was able to make my fans wishes true."

"It is absolutely great to have a concert tour in Finland, since my fans have asked every now and then do we tour in Finland anymore. We have been playing so much abroad in recent years."

"We are  going to try new songs on this tour.  I have written them during last few years. And - we have a few new covers of deep southern sound too!"
