Erja’s Double Trouble tour with an Austrian singer Meena Cryle starts today on September 30th in Berlin, Germany. The 25-gig tour will take them to Germany, Austria, Switzerland as well as to Erja’s home country Finland, where they will perform in four cities; Tampere, Rauma, Järvenpää and Helsinki, where Erja’s show will be recorded on DVD.
The title of the tour, “Double Trouble“, is originally the title of an Otis Rush song and also very well known by the legendary band name of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Since then it has become the epitome of particularly well and innovative blues music. Nowadays, the term “Double Trouble“ is naturally and clearly connected to the finest electric blues and blues rock.
Both artists will be accompanied by their special musical partners – Meena comes with the fantastic Chris Fillmore on guitar and Erja brings the outstanding guitarist Davide Floreno of her band. They will be accompanied by Erja’s bass guitarist Roger Inniss and drummer Miri Miettinen.
Erja will also tour with her band later this fall.
